Cátia Silva Soares project aims to prove the potential therapeutic solution of mitochondriotropic antioxidants for ALS. She will be supervised by Dr Fernanda Borges (Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto), Dr Sonia Rocha (Institute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology, University of Liverpool) and Dr Paulo Oliveira (CNC – Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra).

Brandon Aguiar project involves the development of brain-targeted ROS-sensitive (ROSens) NPs as a therapeutic solution for ALS. He will be supervised by Prof. Fernanda Borges (Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto), Prof. Francisco Espinar (Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santiago de Compostela) and Prof. Renata Silva (Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto).

Vera Silva project involves the development of COMT inhibitors for Parkinson´s disease. She will be supervised by Professor Fernanda Borges (Faculty of Science, University of Porto), Professor Renata Silva (Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto) and Professor Eugenio Uriarte (Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santiago de Compostela).
