Daniel Chavarria

Daniel Chavarria obtained his BSc (2012) and MSc (2014) in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal. In 2020, he completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, in the area of Toxicology, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, Portugal.

He is currently a post-doctoral researcher of the CIQUP’s Medicinal Chemistry group. His research lies within the early stages of drug development, with particular emphasis in infectious and neurodegenerative diseases. He is deeply involved in the design and synthesis of novel compound libraries and the preliminary screening of their pharmacological and ADMET profiles.
