Joana Reis received her Chemistry B.S. and M.S degrees from Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal. She completed her Medicinal Chemistry Ph.D. fellowship with Prof. Fernanda Borges in University of Porto working on drug design applied to neurodegenerative diseases. In 2018, she joined Prof. Andrea Mattevi’s group in the University of Pavia as a postdoctoral fellow with an Italian Association for Cancer Research and Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant. She is currently pursuing the development of new NOX inhibitors and modulators as an approach to halt cancer cell proliferation.
