a brief history of the origin of MITOTAG spin-off…
In 2016, MitoTAG’s founders participated in IPN’s Ineo Start entrepreneurship programs and COHiTEC of COTEC. In the same year, MITOTAG was one of 67 winning startups in the “Road 2 Web Summit” contest launched by the Portuguese Government through Startup Portugal, having been given the opportunity to represent Portugal at the Web Summit, one of the main technology events, innovation and entrepreneurship in the world.
One year later, MITOTAG was one of the semifinalists in the edition of the EVERIS award. In 2018, UP and CNC license the commercial exploitation of two patents of the inventors of Fernanda Borges and Paulo Oliveira research groups to the MitoTAG spin-off.
